Bronwyn Groman

Growing up in California, in the foothills of the Coastal range, I began my fascination with art early in life. My first real education in fine art was kindled by my high school art teacher, Robert Lozano. He encouraged me to create, and recognized my skill and passion.

After a career as a graphic artist, I began my re-entry into oil painting as a student at the Sunset Hill Studio in Seattle. I studied with co-teachers and talented artists Pat Clayton and Janice Webb Kirstein.  Additionally, I have taken in-person workshops with Jennifer Diehl and Ingrid Christiansen. I have also taken online classes from Phil Starke and Kelli Folsom.

I am delighted to have rediscovered oil painting as a way of sharing my creativity.  I admit to having a tendency to get mired down in the minutiae of detail in life and in art, and because of this I love the freeing effect that the medium of oil provides me.
